Ryder System Customer Logistics Supervisor - 1st Shift in RENO, Nevada
The individual ensures that productivity and operational goals are met in order to deliver customer satisfaction. Individual will be working in a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering continuous measurable improvement to the customer. The individual will be working in close accord with the location manager to ensure that the daily requirements are met in accord with the customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates IB/OB shipments, ensures shipments are processed on time based on window time schedule.
Assure all documentation for inbound/outbound shipments is accurate before processing.
Performance management of direct reports/development of direct reports/ employee relations/issue resolution/ new employee training.
Address disciplinary actions with employees.
Provide administrative duties as business needs dictate.
Customer satisfaction/problem resolution.
Ensures fuctional area meets productivity goals.
Safety management and reporting.
Complies with company, client, and government policies and regulations.
May audit material as required (individual loads or shipments satisfying quantities and customer specifications, periodic cycle counting, etc.).
Assist in keeping work area clean.
May check in and/or label material.
May enter information into computerized system information network correctly
File and maintain all inbound documentation which includes but is not limited to receipts and Carrier Bill of Lading.
Comply with Internal Control, ISO-9000, ISO 14000, etc.
Strong Excel and reporting Skills

Hours: 6am - 3:30pm
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms, and use of hands to finger, handle or feel.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations required
Minimum of 6 (six) months supervisory experience required
1-3 Years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred
Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment, (i.e.: Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch preferred.)
Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred
Performance management of direct reports. Developing direct reports
