Ryder System Weekend Warrior-Case Pick/LTO (Saturday & Sunday, 11hr days) in Minster, Ohio

Position Description

Weekend Warrior Shift: Sat-Sun, 5am-4:30pm or 4:30pm-4am

Forklift Operators/Case Pickers

As a member of our Ryder Warehouse Team you will be expected to successfully complete all training programs including your Stand-Up Forklift Certification. On a daily basis you support our business by accurately transferring product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, picking cases, loading/unloading trailers, moving product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and performing inventory assistance as required.

Veer left across the intersection and turn right at the blue "DC Employee Parking" sign. Other job detail include but are not limited to:

  • Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions

  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer

  • Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered

  • Pull orders accurately as assigned

  • Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location

  • Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process

  • Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures

  • We require safety toed (steel or composite), ankle supported laced boots, with a slip resistant sole starting on DAY ONE

  • Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned

  • May operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial lift experience required

  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and walk in high traffic areas


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work independently and also within a team environment

  • Must have adequate math skills and be able to recognize and read location codes and product codes

  • Meet and exceed established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified


  • Picking product and case pick

  • Palletize and hand stack product and stretch wrap product as required

  • Demostrate the ability to safely operate material handling equipment

  • Assist in cycle counting and inventory control as required

  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies as required

  • Additional duties as assigned
