Ryder System Senior Operations Manager - Supporting Site Leader - Multiple Sites in LOCKBOURNE, Ohio
As a Distribution Center General Manager, internally titled Group Logistics Manager I, you will support existing Site Leaders at our 3 locations (Lockbourne, OH, Plainfield, IN, & Stockton, CA) and be comfortable communicating with key client personnel. This will included providing strategic direction for all warehousing activities associated with shipping, receiving, warehousing and inventory management. You will set objectives, goals, strategies and measures, will plan for continuous improvement and create new and innovative strategies necessary to consistently meet our customer's expectations. Other responsibilities include leading the development of a high performance work environment and budget activities, including full P&L responsibility and serving as a liaison to business units, functional areas and internal and external business partners.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing KPI's, lean processes, multiple shifts including but not limited to 100+ indirect reports, 5+ direct reports, financials, various reporting (quarterly business reviews / customer facing) , and occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.

Bachelor's degree in Business Logistics or Transportation or eight years equivalent work experience is required
A minimum of 7 (seven) years logistics (or materials) and transportation experience with a major carrier, dedicated contract or shipper is required
A minimum of 3 (three) years of supervisory experience is required
The candidate must possess demonstrated experience in developing complete logistics product plans and their implementation, project management, facilitation, and communication skills
Knowledge of shipping and receiving preferred
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Management of one or more customer accounts, lifecycle, and extending existing products where feasible, safety issues, profit and loss responsibility, directing the assessment, development, launch and continuous improvement activities related to specific business or product category and day-to-day customer interface and operation of on-site manager
Supervision, development, and performance management of assigned employees and the maintenance of a positive employee relations environment at assigned locations
