About the position:
Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician and Quality Control Technician will provide overall upkeep of a quality management system in support of an inbound manufacturing supply chain operation. The incumbent will have and maintain high- level interface directly with the customer on a regular basis. Within the role of the QA/QC Technician, the quality assurance role ensures that a process or set of processes are used to measure and assure the quality of a product. The quality control role confirms processes are in place to ensure products and services meet consumer expectations.
Consistent pay:$18.50/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 6am-2:30pm
Friday 5 AM - 1:30 pm
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in problem solving, disposition of rejected material and notification of affected personnel.
Recommend improvements to processes/procedures enhancing efficiency of workflow and quality of output and assist in executing those improvements.
Communicates with Quality MGR on methods and problem-solving procedures to successfully meet deadlines.
Assist in the documentation of and resolution of nonconforming material and process discrepancy.
Annotate and attend the Management Review process in order to document outputs and action items.
Assist in the review and validation of the documents within the Quality Management System as necessary.
Serve as a liaison with Customer, suppliers, and any third parties regarding quality related matters.
Oversee warehouse quality control including inspection of Kit assembly, materials, placement and materials.
Inform the Quality Manager of significant issues or developments identified during regular work.
Participate in Quality Assurance training and validation as defined by management.
Monitor and report manufacturing and materials deviations from product and materials standards.
Assist with corrective action and process improvement activities.
Execute sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
Assist in cost containment/reduction objectives assigned to the Quality department by Senior Level MGMT.
Support departments to ensure the goals set forth for product Quality, Cost & Delivery are achieved to promote Customer Satisfaction.
Assist in all activities relevant for ISO, customer and regulatory audits to provide basis for continuous improvement.
Adhere to safe working practices and daily practice of 5S to maintain a clean and organized work center.
Execute 100% of daily tasks, projects & objectives include preparing reports to communicate outcomes.
Provide backup support for the Quality Manager in a variety of functions.
At direction of senior MGMT assist in other technical duties necessary to develop new product or modify existing products or systems.
May be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by Quality Manage. Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programs
Prefer Inventory Quality Experience and previous warehouse experience
MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience - 6 months minimum
Excellent Attention To Detail

Requirements
Associate's Degree
Previous experience in food grade facility
Experience with GMPs, FDA, USDA, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
Verify and monitor relevant finished packaging codes as it relates to specifications
Assist in effectively inspecting product for quality issues and remove defects/contaminants such as stones, wood, glass, plastic, etc., prior to packaging in accordance to specifications
Perform timely checks to meet specifications
Provide supervisors/managers with proper quality documentation as required
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
Maintain qualify to meet all standards required by FDA, USDA, etc.
Ensure product quality to meet Customer, state and federal guidelines
Other duties as required or assigned
