Ryder System Supervisor - Wave Planning in Bridgeport, Michigan
As the Wave Planning Supervisor, you will oversee the release and prioritizing of orders in the Warehouse/ Distribution Center. You will review and release orders based on picking capabilities by department. You will also be responsible to accurately monitor and adhere to internal controls for order release and date prioritization. You will be a vital part of the Outbound Team so attendance is extremely important as well collaborating between departments especially Inventory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Wave and prioritize work for all departments.
Communicate and work closely with other departments to resolve order release issues, expedite rush orders, etc.
Actively participate on projects affecting wave planning.
Enter data and gather information to generate reports to track picking capabilities of each department to properly prioritize work for each department
Coordinate locations moves and wave planning issues with the Inventory Team.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Associates degree or 4 years of related experience is required
Advanced Level Skills in MS Excel such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text
Minimum 1 (one) year of supervisory experience required
Experience with ground transportation operations including DOT, OSHA and all related safety regulations
Bachelor's degree preferred
Three to five years experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or industry related field is preferred
Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment (i.e., Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch preferred)
Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills preferred
Attainment of productivity goals resolving customer issues
Quality Assurance Safety Management and reporting New Employee training
Employee relations solutions Individual will be working in a dynamic environment focusing on delivery of continuous measurable improvement to the customer
