Ryder is hiring a Quality Sortation Conveyer in
This position is responsible for ensuring quality expectations including, but not limited to employee safety, sanitation, and quality systems.
Customer focused to prioritize and help resolve customer concerns/issues
Attention to details
Willing to work extra hours including weekend as needed
Be able to work independently and solve problems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application is required
SAP knowledge is plus
Flexible and willing to learn other tasks in other areas
Comfortable working with the customer
Investigate non-conformance claims and identify root-cause
Partner with operations team and help identify corrective and preventative actions to contain and prevent defect escapes
Identify supplier issues using the evidence-based-reporting
Work as a team with operations leads/supervisors to improve processes and inventory inaccuracies
Generate and send daily end-of-shift report.
About the position:
Consistent pay : $18.50 + $1.70 (Shift premium)
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Experience with Quality Functions Preferred

Other requirements: Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test

Previous experience in food grade facility
Experience with GMPs, FDA, USDA, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Verify and monitor relevant finished packaging codes as it relates to specifications
Assist in effectively inspecting product for quality issues and remove defects/contaminants such as stones, wood, glass, plastic, etc., prior to packaging in accordance to specifications
Perform timely checks to meet specifications
Provide supervisors/managers with proper quality documentation as required
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
Maintain qualify to meet all standards required by FDA, USDA, etc.
Ensure product quality to meet Customer, state and federal guidelines
Other duties as required or assigned
