Ryder System Senior Logistics Analyst in AUBURN HILLS, Michigan

Position Description

The Senior Logistics Analyst is responsible for:

  • Assists with coordinating damage done by mother nature and helps prepare repair appointments

  • Create load sheets for carriers

  • Build a strong relationship with the engineers, carriers and customer

  • Create and manage scorecards for carriers

  • Partner with the end of line quality auditors

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics, Management, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of related experience is required

  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text

  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Project such as importing and exporting data to and from your project, connection to a Project Server, setting multiple project baselines, customizing columns in a table, creating custom views and reports, PERT analysis and project tracking, and maintaining project budget compliance

  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Visio such as creating Visio diagrams, creating custom styles and templates, cross functional flow charts, linking drawings to other MS applications, working with data, custom reports, and exporting

  • Experience with Visual Basic Admin. (VBA) / Sequential Query Language (SQL)required

  • Experience with Transportation Analysis Tools (i2 Tmod, ILPS)required

  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis

  • Maps and documents processes

  • Recommends continuous improvement opportunities

  • Supports the design and implementation of Supply Chain Solutions Works with other team members to develop alternative solutions

  • Conducts transportation and logistics studies

  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) measures Uses Lean Six Sigma tools (5s and 5whys)
